Session Description
This session will  discuss the negative impact and future implications of antibiotic resistance on healthcare.  Describe the threat levels, trends in incidence, and other relevant data for pertinent antibiotic-resistant bacteria in the United States, and discuss antibiotics that have been recently approved or are currently in clinical development for the treatment of resistant infections

Speaker Bio

Michael grew up in Amarillo, Texas. Graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas with a B.A. in Chemistry. He completed pharmacy school at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. After graduating pharmacy school, completed a one-year residency at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia and earned a teaching certificate from the University of Georgia. Shortly after, moved to wife's hometown of Bozeman and started as an inpatient pharmacist at Bozeman Deaconess Regional Medical Center. Preferred area of practice is critical care.

Montana Nurses Association is approved with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Virginia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation
